Bill Cunningham, how can you not love this man?

I absolutely fell in love with Bill Cunningham last night after seeing his documentary and peering into his almost mysterious but well chronicled life as a photographer for the NY Times. He is incredibly gentle, seriously passionate about fashion, remarkably humble especially with his many accomplishments, a non food lover (how???), has a quirky charm wearing a $20 janitors smock every day, he is unbelievably hilarious and so extremely dedicated to preserving street style fashion at it's finest that he admits to never being in a relationship because he was so consumed with fashion. Here are some of my favorite quotes of his...

"I don't decide anything - I let the streets speak to me..In order for the streets to speak to you, you’ve got to stay out there and see what it is…You just don't manufacture in your head that skirts at the knee are the thing, and you go out and photograph skirts at the knee…You’ve gotta stay on the street and let the street tell you what it is. There’s no shortcuts. Believe me.”

“See, a lot of people have taste, but they don’t have the daring to be creative,”
